This page explains how to request deletion of your Homly account and personal data — or delete specific data without closing your account. It applies to both Homly apps: Homly (the tenant app) and Homly Manager (the property-operator app), as well as the Homly web app.

Homly is a property-management platform published by Homly. A single Homly account works across all of our surfaces — the Homly tenant app, the Homly Manager app for property owners and staff, and the Homly web app. Requesting deletion through any one of them deletes the same underlying account. Anyone with a Homly account — whether you signed up as a tenant, an owner, or a staff member — can request deletion using the steps below.
In either the Homly or the Homly Manager app (and on the web app):
Sign in to your account.
Open Profile (the account / profile tab).
Tap Delete account.
Confirm the request when prompted.
Your deletion is scheduled 30 days out, not performed immediately. During this 30-day grace period your account still works. If you change your mind, simply log back in within 30 days and the deletion request is automatically cancelled — nothing is removed. After the 30 days elapse, your account is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
If you can no longer access the app, you can ask us to delete your account by email. Write to us at [email protected] from, or including, the email address or phone number registered on your Homly account, so we can verify your identity.
Send your request to [email protected] with the subject "Account deletion request".
Include the registered email address and/or phone number on the account.
State whether you want the whole account deleted, or only specific data (see below).
Once we verify ownership, an email request follows the same 30-day grace and permanent-deletion process as an in-app request.
After the 30-day grace period, your personal data is permanently deleted or anonymised so it can no longer identify you. This includes:
Your name (replaced with an anonymised placeholder)
Your email address (removed and replaced with an anonymised value, freeing your real address for future sign-up)
Your phone number
Your profile photo / avatar
All active login sessions and refresh tokens (you are signed out everywhere)
Push and device notification tokens
Certain financial and transactional records are retained after your account is deleted, because Indian tax and accounting law requires us (and the property businesses that use Homly) to keep them for a statutory period. These records are no longer linked to identifiable personal data once your identity is anonymised. Retained records include:
Rent and other payment transactions
Payment receipts and invoices
Financial ledgers and accounting entries
Records required to comply with legal, tax, and audit obligations
Retained records are de-identified — they are kept only as required by law and are separated from the personal information that was deleted.
You do not have to close your account to remove specific data. You can:
Delete documents and photos you have uploaded, directly in the app, from the relevant Documents or Profile screen.
Update or remove profile details (such as your photo or phone number) in Profile.
Email [email protected] to request deletion of specific data associated with your account, from your registered email or phone number.
Some information cannot be selectively deleted while your account stays open — for example, financial records the law requires us to retain. We will tell you if a specific-data request cannot be fulfilled and why.
Day 0 — You request deletion in the app or by email. Deletion is scheduled for 30 days later; your account keeps working.
Within 30 days — Logging back in cancels the request automatically. Nothing is deleted.
After 30 days — Your personal data is permanently deleted or anonymised, and your sessions and notification tokens are revoked. Legally required financial records are retained in de-identified form.
