Homly includes a guided onboarding flow for new tenants. Once you add a tenant, they receive a link to complete onboarding steps.

Step 1: Personal details Tenant confirms or updates their name, phone, and email.

Step 2: Document upload Tenant uploads required KYC documents — government-issued ID (Aadhaar, PAN, passport) and address proof. Homly's AI extracts key details automatically for your review.

Step 3: Lease review If a lease has been generated, the tenant reviews it here.

Step 4: E-signature The tenant signs the lease digitally using an OTP sent to their registered phone number.

Step 5: House rules Tenant acknowledges the house rules for the property.

Step 6: Move-in checklist Tenant confirms move-in details and can upload move-in photos.

Do tenants have to do this? Onboarding steps can be made optional or mandatory depending on your workflow. You can also complete steps on behalf of the tenant if they are not comfortable doing it online.
