How it works

1. The tenant sends their payment screenshot to Homly's WhatsApp number — the same thread their reminders arrive on.
2. AI reads the screenshot: amount, date and transaction reference.
3. Homly matches it to the tenant and their open dues, then notifies you.
4. You approve or reject in one tap. On approval, the rent is marked paid, the ledger updates and the receipt is filed automatically.

Why approval is manual

The final tap stays with you on purpose: you stay in control of what enters your books, while the reading, matching and filing work is done for you. A fake or edited screenshot never silently becomes a recorded payment.

If the AI cannot read a screenshot

Blurry or cropped screenshots are flagged for manual review — you can still record the payment yourself against the tenant's ledger, exactly as you would for cash.

Tip: cash and bank-transfer payments can always be recorded manually from the tenant's ledger; screenshots are the fast path, not the only path.
