Splitting one electricity bill across many tenants is the most disputed number in shared accommodation. Homly makes the split automatic and visible.

How the split works

1. Enter your meter readings for the billing period (see "Recording meter readings").
2. Homly calculates each unit's consumption and each tenant's share.
3. The share lands as an itemised line on the tenant's monthly dues — next to rent, not mixed into it.

Tenants see the breakdown

Each tenant sees their own consumption and share in the portal. The month-end argument usually ends here: the math is visible, identical for everyone, and not something you calculated by hand at 11 pm.

Works with any electricity board

BESCOM, BSES, TGSPDCL, MSEDCL, Torrent — the board and tariff do not matter. Homly splits whatever your meters record, whether the property runs postpaid meters, prepaid meters or a mix of main and sub-meters.
